In astrology, Sedna's message to us is simple: humans have become a danger to the natural world and we must act quickly to avert the annihilation of life on Earth. Our mission, if we accept it, is to promote interdependence with the Earth and a return to cooperation with the cycles of life, creating a balanced and sustainable way of life for our civilization. All of us living today have Sedna in the signs of Aries and Taurus.   In Aries (1867-1968) we are called upon to be catalysts that inspire, motivate and even incite outrage over the destruction of the Earth and her waters; in Taurus (1968-2023) we are called to be manifestors who work with determination to solve the problems we have created for ourselves. (Sedna: Goddess for our Time, Barbara Schermer, Mountain Astrologer, April/May 2009).

Pisces New Moon

Pices New Moon 2011 by Cathy Pagano

The Pisces new Moon occurs on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 12:46pm Pacific/ 1:46pm Mountain/ 2:46pm Central/ 3:46pm Eastern/ 8:46pm Greenwich Mean Time.

This last new moon of the year offers us a chance to plant seeds of faith, imagination and hope for the future.   As I mentioned in the beginning of this newsletter, step back from concrete plans (I know how hard that is!) and plunge into the cosmic ocean.   Let go of what you think you know and let yourself open to Spirit's plan.   It's probably in alignment with what you've been working on -- that is, if you've been true to your beliefs and philosophy of life.   But it never hurts to let go of control and plunge into mystery.   Take time to meditate on the mystery of who you are because when Uranus goes into Aries, you'll be asked to step forward with your true identity and co-create a new order.

This Pisces New Moon is joined by Chiron, Mars, Mercury and Uranus : Chiron is beginning his healing work on our collective unconscious, once again rooting us in a deep spirituality; Mars can swim with either fish -- energizing our spiritual warrior or escaping into illusions of grandeur like Charlie Sheehan and Gaddafi; Sun and Moon ask us to unite our conscious identity and our unconscious soul in trust; Mercury opens our imagination and intuition; Uranus is giving us a last chance to step through the veils between the worlds and get over the illusion that there is only one reality and that we exist separate from the cosmos.   Hopefully, we are leaving behind the illusions of the age of "enlightenment' that only value the rational Mind and getting back to a balance of Mind and Heart, Intuition and the Sensual Body.

Venus moves into Aquarius, joining Ceres and Neptune, connecting (Venus' power) us to visions of nurturing freedom for all humanity.

Pluto, Vesta and Pallas Athena in Capricorn give us serious energy to transform the old structures, the patriarchal rules, into more life-giving structures.   If unions have to take on the burden of new rules of conduct, then corporations need to have similar restraints put on them. Fair is Fair!

Jupiter is moving through Aries now. Jupiter and Pluto had their third and final square (a challenge and a crossroads) on February 25th, challenging us to learn humility, patience and tolerance, which are the virtues of a good leader.   Jupiter and Saturn in Libra are coming up to their opposition point on March 28th, half-way through their 20 year cycle that begin in May of 2000.   These planets rule our social structures and the opposition speaks of something coming to a head.   While we can see what that is indicating politically, look back on your own life to 2000 and see what is coming to a head in your own life.

The Sabian symbol for the Sun and Moon at 14*Pisces is: A Lady wrapped in a large stole of Fox fur. Our feminine intuition and feeling nature must have protection during this transformational time.   Our egos can be overwhelmed by the archetypal energies (Jung called it Inflation by the Archetypes), so we need the power of the fox, which symbolizes cunning and intelligence, to operate as a protection from outer trials and inner inundation.

The Wheel of the Year is turning.   Soon Spring in the Northern hemisphere and Autumn down South will bring us a new chance to co-create a better world.

Blessed Be.
