In the House, Nancy Pelosi has, so far, blocked efforts by Kucinich and Wiener to include amendments that make it easier for state efforts at single payer to proceed. Canada started single payer in one province and it took 30 years for all the provinces to adopt it. Opponents know to block state efforts. Tell your rep to support the legislation relating to state efforts.

The legislation is not over by a long shot. Assume there will be last minute surprises, particularly betrayals and injections of horrific amendments. Assume that Democrats will help with inserting them. We need to fight harder now. NOW!

Ifyou care about this issue the time to rev up your energy, ratchet up your resources and get involved is now.
