Looking out on the bay, you can see Port-au-Prince in the distance, steep hills rising in the background. You can also see, toward the far shore, fishermen in the water fishing by net.

Closer up, you can see refineries in the background.

On the other side of the pier, you can see, in the distance, how shanties come right up to water's edge.

Colorfully garbed and rather wet. This man may spend hours each day literally in the water.

Another boat is coming in with a catch.

The lad is bailing out the boat.
