Indeed, this movement towards the true power source was captured by the highly intelligent insight of our past President, George Bush Jr., who said, regarding the invasion of Iraq, "If they don't change, we will!"   Ole George outdid himself on that one.

Many of my past articles on spirituality are about internal changes within our Psyche or Soul.   I have also written about external changes in writing about sustainability movements.   The internal and the external are not two.   For example, as you tend and work the ground in your back yard so that your land can conceive and nurture food, you are also cultivating your mind.   This evolution will not only entail an internal or external change in you (better weight control, a sense of connection to the Earth); it will also entail a change in the world.   On an externalized dimension, you may identify your parenting styles with gardening where your purpose is to cultivate the soil by preparing nutrients which allows the child to unfold her or his potential.   Change how you parent and you cultivate a healthy child living upon an increasingly healthy planet.

Be careful, though.   A new world that you create change in cannot be made from a dictate that you provide from your ego.    Rather, the cultivating of the mind must be to allow growth from within yourself while also allowing growth in others"..which includes the Earth that surrounds you and the people, including children, who are intimately connected to your life.

Meanwhile, don't ever discount the smallness of your work in relating to Nature.   As Chaos theory states, everything causes everything else.   The difference in how we interact with the world would be the same as that between a rapist and his victim to a Lover and his Beloved.   Not only does it affect her, it affects everything around her via her response to the world.   This is also reflective of the difference between systems that teach to a test rather than adapting a loving approach that allows a child's potential to unfold.   I am saying point blank that our educational system is one that rapes the Psyches of children.

We can't count on government to help us build a healthy environment for our children, ourselves and our communities.   The government is as sociopathic as any corporation.   The primary purpose of the corporation and the government is to control you.   For example Henry Kissinger is reported to have said, "Control the oil and you control nations, control the food and you control people."

Do you want the government to control you through the likes of Cargill or Monsanto?

Thus it is food to which we must first turn to reclaim our lives and our independence.   And within the context of food, we need to build our community.   The power of what we can do to become more independent of corporations and government is illustrated in the following website that has several videos.   Indeed, the following gives you the basics to growing 1 million pounds of food on 3 acres.

You may not need that much for you and your family.   Nor do you need that much land.   However, you can be creative in how you use the information in helping you, your neighbors and your family to become more independent of the food system while also eating healthier foods
