Since everybody knows their alotted span, most menial drudgery has been assigned to robots, which has made Sony Corporation the de-facto government of Planet Earth. But nobody really cares who minds the store, since the Undeniable Truth is with us. The prevailing attitude is of not wasting anybody's time. Nothing you do is going to get you more than you got, so enjoy it fully. Exploitation, crime and perfidy, at least on the scale they had been on, are simply, laughably pointless now.
They're still working on the immortality pill. Imagine that.
