China banks told to halt lending to US banks-SCMP

Wed Sep 24, 2008 9:52pm EDT

BEIJING, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Chinese regulators have told domestic banks to stop interbank lending to U.S. financial institutions to prevent possible losses during the financial crisis, the South China Morning Post reported on Thursday.

The Hong Kong newspaper cited unidentified industry sources as saying the instruction from the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) applied to interbank lending of all currencies to U.S. banks but not to banks from other countries.

“The decree appears to be Beijing’s first attempt to erect defenses against the deepening U.S. financial meltdown after the mainland’s major lenders reported billions of U.S. dollars in exposure to the credit crisis,” the SCMP said. LINK

Bush is proposing a 700 Billion Dollar Bailout; with China stopping their banks from lending to us, where exactly will this 700 Billion Dollars materialize from? Japan? The EU and Japan combined? Or will we simply print what is quickly becoming worthless money to help and satisfy the wealth and corporations who are now in danger of losing a percentage of their investments, while taxpayers that can’t even afford to fill up their tanks and keep food on the table are being asked to foot the bill. The MSM and even Congressional members are labeling this bailout attempt as socialism, however, if you look up socialism and fascism and look at what constitutes fascism, it’s obvious that our plunge is not into socialism, but directly into the bowels of a fascist government that has been planning this coup since they were installed in office. F**k being politically correct; we have to reveal the truth, as ugly as it may be, and help to prepare those who are still slumbering to the incredible danger that lurks just days, or months away. Something big is being planned, and while I’m not privy to those plans, recent government actions and our economic meltdown should raise the ire and brow of every American - and only massive protests and calls will help to sway a Congress that has folded on us in almost every major issue that Bush has raised before Congress.

Bush took a cheap shot at what’s left of Middle-class America when he attempted to personalize the crisis and used his speech time to instill fear and anxiety into the hearts of those who are teetering on the brink of financial disaster, and it’s millions and millions of middle-class families, which Bush attempted to scare and intimidate, probably hoping they would call Congress in favor of the bailout plan. Congress is fighting back, so now they have to appeal to the people, and they did, once again pushing fear and uncertainty to the forefront and stating that his plan was the only hope we had. Time is short. I need it now. The sky is falling. The same rhetoric that we hear from this President every time he’s making a power grab or attempting to muscle-through more legislation that favors corporate America. It’s always a “national emergency” type of event, and as we saw in previous elections, Al Qaeda conveniently has made a threat against us close to another Presidential Election. It surprises me that an individual that has been able to elude the U.S. since we invaded Afghanistan doesn’t have enough sense to keep quiet and see if America elects a President that is serious about withdrawing from Iraq and adopting a less imperialistic stance rather than being a pawn of fear for the warmongering GOP.

Whatever is coming our way, remember that food is often used as a weapon by fascist governments. Stock up on essentials, Don’t panic buy, but continue adding to your emergency supplies until you feel that you have at least a month in non-perishable food stocks. Very carefully, you may want to invest in extra-large gas storage containers, and just like food, gradually build yourself a supply until you are able to whether a crisis like that which is currently hitting the Atlanta area. (Article to be published later today.)

Whatever it is we are about to suffer through, you can’t count on the government to come to your rescue; there are too many of us, over 300 million, and no country on earth is capable of providing for so many people with so little preparation. Don’t tell your neighbors your stocking-up on food unless you want to be in the position to defend it, possibly with risks that could be life-threatening. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst; it’s an eerie feeling when you know the other shoe is about to drop - especially when we don’t know if it will include the loss of hundreds of thousands, or even millions of American lives. FEMA and DHS have already planned for human remains disposal as if it wasn’t anything more than a normal days work, but for you and I, many of those casualties could be friends and family, something that is only preventable if we as a nation collectively hit the streets and stay there until someone in the government agrees to take a step back and restore our system of checks and balances.

I am nothing more than a patriotic American that is doing whatever I can to further the cause of democracy, the rule of law, and am absolutely outraged on how the Bush administration is defying our Congress, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights! (more...)
