Let me emphasize that I am only one person with generally pacifistic intentions, but if those horrible moments of the past can still rise a stir in myself, imagine what the consequences would be if history were repeat itself once more to some of America’s more intense advocates of change.

I am aware that such a plead as mine is considered taboo amongst most of us, and it is unfortunate that someone like myself has to acknowledge it, but ask yourself this: Have you not seen the coverage? Have you not noticed the insinuations by newscasters and their misinterpretations of the comments by Hillary Clinton? Even ask yourself if you and your peers have not discussed this issue yourselves. I myself have had conversations (if that is what you wish to call them) with individuals who not only saw an assassination attempt as a possibility, but also were predicting it and, unfortunately, hoping for it. I am also aware that by bringing this seemingly unspoken truth to the forefront could possibly make it worse in the big picture, but I hope that the right minds will take this as a motivator in the preventing and monitoring of hate crimes and extremism in not only America, but world wide.

By no means am I trying to be a political or social authority. I am just a grain of sand in the American desert, but I sincerely hope that we as a people will find it in ourselves to not only change the course of our country, but history itself.
