Once we get a handle on the American Billionaires, we can start doing trade deals that require our trade partners to do the same thing. If a nation allows billionaires to exist, cut it off and treat it like we now treat terrorists-- because frankly, billionaires are more deadly and more dangerous than terrorists.

I'll say that again. Billionaires are more deadly and dangerous than terrorists. There are a handful who are not as bad. Some, like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett-- about 30 or forty at last count-- are saying they want to give away all their money. But even they run and profit from corporations that engage in lobbying that corrupts the democratic system. I'd like to see Gates and Buffett set positive examples by going even further than they've gone. They should make public statements that they are divesting themselves of their billions. I have no problem with them staying millionaires. And I'm very open to these bright people coming up with creative ways to ethically debillionairize themselves. It would be great if part of their legacy was to blaze the de-billionairization/no-billionaires trail themselves.

It's been a few years since I started this quest to rid the world of billionaires. The thinking has been evolving, the understanding fleshing out. At the same time, the abuses, crimes and fiscal debaucheries of billionaires, particularly people like the Koch brothers and the others mentioned earlier have made it every clearer how much the world needs to take action to purge itself of all existing billionaires and make sure that no more billionaires can ever exist again. The internet is catalyzing our world to shift to a more bottom-up culture and nature from the top-down dominated nature that civilization and land ownership brought to humanity, starting 10-12,000 years ago in a few places, but really saturating the majority of the world in the last 300-500 years. Part of that shift to a more bottom-up world will require that we deal with billionaires-- some of the most extreme, most abnormal and pathologically dysfunctional symptoms of top-down civilization.

How will we do it? We'll create new models of success, new models of business that reward Bottom-up approaches-- like worker-owned co-ops. We'll invest in research for developing new kinds of business entities and structures which provide alternatives to big companies getting bigger. We'll find paths for billionaires to take to de-billionairize as painlessly as possible (if they're not found to have been criminals.) We'll rehabilitate the justice system, so there is justice for all, not justice for some-- the elite-- as Glenn Greenwald described in his book WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR SOME.  The billionaires will be debillionairized one nation at at time. Some will emigrate to third world, authoritarian countries to escape. The nations which do debillionairize will have to deal with those nations, as I said, treating them like organizations that harbor or support terrorists. We can do this. It is possible. It is a big goal. The billionaires will fight back hard, and remember, they kill people-- not with hands, not directly, but many of them are murderers, and/or making their money through weapons manufacturing or distribution, pollution, fighting safety regulations. It will be ugly. But we need to do this for humanity and for the planet.
