Have no fear, socialism for the rich will bail them out at taxpayer expense under the pretext that, "If these gigantic corporations fail them our American system will collapse!"
We used to have regulation. Remember those days? But those who tried it beginning with FDR were denounced as socialists seeking to destroy the American way of life.
Ronald Reagan, the pied piper of corporate sound bites, sounded those memorable words, "Get the government off people's backs!"
Well, we need a corollary to the Reagan gospel. If corporations plummet through their own tricks and greed and the loss is calamitous enough then good old corporate socialism is not only justified but necessary to "save America."
How's that for a no loss formula?
