Little hope for Pakistanis under President Zardari

There is also the lingering issue of the restoration of the independent  judges who were sacked by President Musharraf. And an unacknowledged civil war of low intensity is being fought in Balochistan.

Mr. Zardari's personal tainted history makes him ill-equipped to pull the country together in a time of crisis.  The catalogue of allegations against him is well-known and every sordid detail has been raked up since his bid for the presidency was announced.
