A dear friend, who I shall hereinafter refer to as "Sparky," inspired me to start running again this year. Now have stated a goal to run in the next NYC Marathon. I give credit to Sparky who consistently proves, as she completed the Marathon again, at the age of 70, it's not chronology, it's biology, love of the freedom fitness offers and will.
It gives any aspirant, tremendous encouragement, and for us who don't have the calling to be an elite world-class athlete, reassurance, it's not the speed, it's about the determination, drive, participation and completion.
