It was Jefferson himself who iterated that, having to choose between government without newspapers and newspapers without government, he would choose the latter. The primary purpose of newspapers and reporters is to make things uncomfortably tough on all who would deign to assume public office, not be anyone’s cheerleader squad. Indeed, that premise, that newspapers and reporters would grate and grind a public official to a loathing of them, is the ONLY purpose of the Amendment’s guarantee of a “free press”!!!! Something Ms. Palin has no clue whatsoever of.

Ignorance, though in specific and exceedingly rare instances may be bliss, never is when it comes to what actually holds America together and free. Thus it is a final thought, a rhetorical question, I have concerning the issue: Why would anyone associate with those who clearly are ignorant, stupid, and a threat to the embodiment of blessings we call “America”?
