I guess we're going to bend over for the corn cob, because our "leaders" are too busy hurling insults, playing politics

Personally and professionally, many local government officials have first-hand experience with institutional document deception, information manipulation, liar loans, real estate scams and mortgage crime. They've seen these and other "-white collar crimes" wreak havoc on the nation's real estate market, and tangentially eviscerate the value of annuities, stocks and retirement investments.

They've dealt with enough lying bankers, opportunistic real estate agents, crooked appraisers and conflict of interest-impaired judges to last a lifetime. And the very idea that some of the biggest bank crooks in the nation are getting bailed out at taxpayer's expense, not to mention the "-bonuses" a few corporate crooks are getting, is enough to make them blow their tops.

One official at Countrywide managed to get himself sentenced to a few years at Uncle Sam's country club with bars, after being convicted of insider trading. One irate analyst called the whole thing, "A slap on the hand, a pat on the ass and 3 years probation for stealing $100,000."- (Moe Bedard, November 21st, 2007)

That was a year ago. Today, Uncle Sam's been slapping hands and patting asses with a vengeance. We've "rescued"- so many banks and at risk institutions with our devaluing dollars that it is a wonder if the printing presses haven't melted from over-use.

This bailout is a knife in the gut to many, who paid their bills on time, lived within their means, and work an honest day for an honest day's pay. Ultimately, the little guys have been forced to bail out the big guys. Our children and grandchildren have been indentured to pay the debt.

Some of these bankers have gotten away with financial murder and our dear government put the icing on the cake. Unindicted felons, coconspirators and other creatures of ill repute are flaunting their crimes in our faces.
