That we know for a certainty concerning the GOP. But that the Democratic Party clearly includes those whose views are more aligned with the GOP, especially after this past November’s election, is an outrage that must not be allowed to pass unremarked upon; not on the national level; not on a local level; and most particularly among our associates and relatives. We’ve got to take a stand, for a downstream opportunity to do so is unlikely.
If a government healthcare option is not a genuine component of healthcare reform, there will be no reform that will be worth anything. American industry is at stake! American jobs are at stake! Furthermore, the health of every American is at stake! The only question seems to be, what will it take for us to rise up, to plant a stake through the heart of the scheming that, if undeterred, will doom us to a bought-and-paid-for subsistence satellite of the People’s Republic of China?
Montanans, let Max Baucus hear your howls. Oregonians, rage at Ron Wyden that you’ll have no part of it, or him. Delawareans, make sure Tom Carper cannot help but notice the angry voices outside his offices. And everyone: throw open your windows and let all Washington know you’re “mad as hell, and [you’re] not going to take it any longer.”
