Did they pull another one over our eyes, knowing we were not about to elect another Republican anytime soon, did they put up someone they had been grooming for the position > Someone who would keep them safe from prosecution while at the same time giving the people some hope for a better future?

Yeah, we have elected our first Black President. We are moving mountains. Our country cannot sustain too many more blows from within. Yet, while our eyes are on that one hand, are we missing what the other hand is doing?

To be honest, this was the first time in my nearly sixty years that I actually voted. I got caught up in the rhetoric, fearing the McCain/Palin ticket just might win, something the Bush crowd was depending on, I'll betcha. I only hope I don't end up being ashamed of contributing to any future fiascos.

Be good Obama. Don't make me regret having voted for you.

Although, it may already be too late.

PS. I am so very proud of us as a nation. I can see how we have grown up and were finally able to see past the color of a man's skin (no to mention his rather odd name) and elect our first Black President. Perhaps there's hope for us after all. I only hope he has the balls to do what is necessary.
