If one attends to the Adam and Eve story in the Bible, it is interesting that because Adam and Eve ate the fruit of knowledge, the apple , that we humans became ashamed of our nudity (i.e., who we are by Nature) and were destined to toil for our food (work/labor), give birth in great pain, and to accept the tyranny of the Man (Adam, corporations, and government). The Adam and Eve story could also have more macroscopic implications. For example, if we take Eve as being the Labor Class and Adam as the corporation and government, then the metaphor of "Adam ruling over Eve" could be extended to mean not only man over woman but human being (Man) over Nature and corporation/government/church over the general population (working classes, people in poverty, the ecological systems of the planet). The Feminine is also identified with the inner world because women's genitals fold inward. As such, the Psyche, or Soul of a human being was identified in ancient Greece as a Female. Thus, our Minds and Souls are trampled upon during our systematic education through indoctrination, by media through commercialization, and brainwashing through corporate media and in our work world.

Mary's response, " Be it unto me according to Your Will", becomes one of a submissive, disempowered stance for all humankind, rather than a "Let it Be" stance that joins us as co-creators within the Universal One. This interpretation, which I consider disastrous and outworn, led to a centuries long shift in the development of human consciousness. It still occurs today when a child begins to cover up when his mother walks in on him in the bathroom. The shame and fear invoked has bonded us as willing slaves to a greedy and destructive Empire. Isn't it high time to break out of our bondage to a tyrannical concept of our God, click our heels together three times, and return to our earthly Eden?

Ours has become a very top-down male oriented world. But what if God is more of a conductor of the symphony than a Tyrannical Oppressor that is ready to zap one into hell for touching his or her private parts in the bathroom? Besides, if God is the ultimate Seer behind the eyes, then who is actually playing with one's Self? What if we--the entire apparent universe--are the manifestation of God, God's Will, and God's Wisdom? What if God sees through our eyes, hears through our ears, speaks through our voices, feels in our hearts, and experiences Life and Love through our being? Isn't it true that the Hebrew Yahweh is translated into English as "I AM" while in Hindu He is referred to as Brahmin, meaning Self? And, what is your Nature if not your Essence, your Truth or your Self?

This has been the question of my life. Thus I truly love a traditional Navajo chant which goes:

"The mountain, I become it.

The herb, the fir tree, I become it

The morning mist, the cloud, the gathering water, I become it.

The wilderness, the dewdrop, the pollen, I become it."

In essence, we are Nature looking at Herself through human eyes. Perhaps (S)He is both conductor and also orchestra. Thus the conductor is inherent in each of the players! What would be the ramifications of such an outlook? Would we continue to kill off the planet that supports us? It is possible that " Let there be... " can also be translated as God proclaiming: " Creation, I become it'; Humankind, I become it"! (Why else is the incarnation so pivotal and compelling?)

According to Alia Chandler, we were at the end of a galactic year on December 21, 2012. However, this galactic year placed us differently in that we went from the northern hemisphere of the galaxy and into the southern. This changed the whole energetic composition to what's available to us. (Extending my Moebius Loop metaphor, we went from being spiritual outsiders to being spiritual insiders, within the creative impulse of Life and Love that propels the Universe.) Indeed, according to Alia, the Earth is returning to Her 5 th dimensional state. She further believes that there was an experiment proposed for Earth to play with Her frequency and brought it down to the current 3 rd dimensional level which caused us to lose our perception of unity with God.

In many ways, her thesis is akin to that of mathematician Rudy Rucker who wrote the following play dialogue in his The Fourth Dimension between "I" and "Sphere":

I: "You are saying, then, that my conscious mind lights up a cross section of Space-time, and that the passage of Time is the upward motion of my mind?"

Sphere: "I say no such thing! There is no motion in space-time. Your Mind, as it is, extends the length of your space. More truly spoken, the Mind is everywhere and, you have no mind at all."

In modern mystic terms, this means the mind is non-local. Non-local means not locatable yet everywhere. In physics, non-locality , or action at a distance, is the direct interaction of two objects that are separated in space with no intermediate agency or mechanism. In many ways, this may be similar to psychiatrist Carl Jung's notion of synchronicity. Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance, yet are experienced as occurring together in a meaningful manner. In relation to astrology, the synchronicity is reflected in the patterns of the universe in relationship to patterns of behavior on the Earth. I often use tides as a way to understand synchronicity. In simple form, tides relate to the conditions of the ocean (e.g., weather effects) and the relationship of moon to Earth. Moreover, what is high tide here is low tide on the opposite side of the Earth. Tides progress spherically and cyclically not linearally, like soldiers marching to some external command and drumbeat.

Chaos Theory states that small differences in initial conditions (such as those due to rounding errors in numerical computation) yield widely diverging outcomes for such dynamical systems, rendering long-term prediction impossible in general. This happens even though these systems are deterministic, meaning that their future behavior is fully determined by their initial conditions, with no random elements involved. In other words, the deterministic nature of these systems does not make them predictable. This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or simply chaos . Sensitivity to initial conditions is popularly known as the "butterfly effect", so called because of the title of a paper given by Edward Lorenz in 1972 entitled Predictability: Does the Flap of a Butterfly's Wings in Brazil set off a Tornado in Texas? The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to a large-scale phenomenon. Had the butterfly not flapped its wings, the trajectory of the system might have been vastly different. Thus even though you may be able to approximately predict the tides by the relationship of moon to the earth, there may be a wide range of variables effecting how the tide may come in and go out. For example, the hurricane that went zapping across the waves was related to the butterly flapping her wings). Ask the residents of New Orleans or Jersey City how predictable the tides can be.

Thus, perhaps astrology, which looks at universal patterns, is on track regarding the astrological signs based on constellation, planetary and moon relationships to Earth. Yet, it could become highly fallable when predicting day-to-day behavior. Perhaps the Mayan calendar and predictions of the emerging Satya Yuga are cosmically on track, but not precisely pinpointable. We may be riding such a huge wave that we can only imagine it from our perspective within space-time three dimensions. To make a more concrete example, many felt on December 21, 2012 nothing happened. However, when tides first come in, they are barely noticable. Thus, we often don't think about diverse movements that had started prior to that date such as the Occupy, Transition Town, Permaculture (and other sustainability movements), along with the scientists such as James Lovelock, David Bohm, Karl Pribram and others that questioned the reductionistic methods of science and the behavior of government and corporations. Perhaps these movements are tiny wavelets riding a mounting tidal wave? Perhaps Alia is right in thinking we may be opening to a "higher form" of consciousness, as evidenced by people beginning to see larger patterns in an age that has been stuck in reductionistic thinking and rationalism.
