There must be many kinds of downsizing
And there are those who would make that downsizing
Favor them-not-us, This is not surprising
Over-population uncontrolled could lead to extinction

Only the great effort of "Intentional Community"
Can take us to a new level
Otherwise tyrants will usurp our power
And non-integrated collections of people will be controlled

To do this downsizing instead of it being done to us
Is a very huge challenge at this time
To create "community" within these parameters is truly challenging
We have been propagandized to go it alone

And it does not take much propaganda to convince
When presented by membership
In a sick species that outgrew its environment
It is a natural response to go it alone

But the environment to go it alone is lacking
And so it takes a lot of propaganda to seduce us
And make us feel we are King Kong and the jungle is ours
When all that ego stuff is just suicide at this point

It is neither the clever nor the controlled
That will inherit the earth
As Jesus said ..
"It is the meek that will inherit the earth"

You must be clever enough to control yourself
But most of all you must be virtuous enough
To be able to work with others in a shared world
"Where everyone lives simply so others can simply live"

We may be living in a time not unlike that time that got the dinosaurs. We are definitely living in a time of mass extinctions again.  Earth is going through a massive readjustment. The human is in exponential overpopulation. Once again something is too big to stand the test of cosmic time. OK, so what is dying now and what might make it? The thing that may be about to radically downsize might be the human ego and all humans that cannot downsize their egos may be about ready to go extinct. That might put the human race in a fast forward evolutionary thrust making it necessary to adapt to this new requirement very quickly.

Right now the Big-Egos seem to be winning, but it takes a certain amount of time to get the big "fly wheel" of business-as-usual to stop and go in a new direction.

A huge amount of death tends now to break out in patches on the planet while many other humans choose to go into deep denial over this because they do not have a clue what to do about it, or do not want to pay the price of doing something about it. A handful of others are capitalizing on this denial ( and encouraging it with a bunch of propaganda ) and accumulating a bunch of money, thinking that this is a legitimate evolutionary adaptation to the current challenge, which it is not.

Still others realize, as the author of "Gaia Hypothesis" says, that we make it or we die as a whole, not in species-pieces, and not as vampires turned against each other. Whatever and whoever makes it must find a new paradigm to create a new deeper wholeness and that deeper wholeness must be, bottom line, based on deeper love.

To be around at this time of intense evolutionary change, that will force the human to adapt and mature as a species, and to try to add some small contribution to the evolutionary leap, is a great opportunity.

When the bombs have all been dropped and the new peace has been found we may see, not little mammals scurrying around, but gentle folks with little egos and big hearts, quietly putting the planet back together for a new age to begin.

I have no doubt that the quotation is true ..."The meek shall inherit the earth."

People blundering about with egos the size of a Tyrannosaurus Rex will give way to a race of beings that used to be humans but are now human and more, who have downsized their egos and are now living in a society and on a planet where a higher vibratory reality has come to be.

I am a hippy that never dropped out. I have held on to impossible idealism and will not give up. I think the human race is a ticking time bomb and we are at the last tick. So what is the good of slow careful pragmatism that allows time for it all to (more...)
