"I have not needed to see a doctor for years. All I know about this new program is about sending my penalty money to the state government. You see, everyone here MUST pick a state government approved health plan. Every individual Mass resident is supposed to receive a packet in the mail but they never come, so you are supposed to call a toll free number to pick one of their plans. Trouble is, you wait a long, long time on hold until finally there is a ring and you are disconnected each time.

"So, there is an email address for the mandatory insurance picking office. But when I send an email asking for help because their office phones keep disconnecting, the government mandatated insurance picking office replies about how important each and every email is, and tells me to CALL THE SAME NUMBER THAT KEEPS DISCONNECTING!

"The bottom line is each person here MUST correctly join a state government approved health insurance plan. If you make a mistake or are slow, you must pay a BIG fine to our state government. If you refuse to pay this penalty to the state government, you will be invited to go to prison. If you physically resist going to prison, the state government will either kill you or physically hurt you and lock you away. It's awful."

[She begins to cry.]

To sum up...

Social Security is not going bankrupt just because when it was created there were 45 workers for every retired person, but now there are only 3 workers for every retired American. It is NOT a criminal ponzie scheme.

Medicare is not going bankrupt although there are more seniors obtaining more services with each passing year.

The average age of the American population is increasing. As the US population ages, the cost of health care will rise. It is a fact of nature that 18-year-old bag boys at local supermarkets on average require far, far less medical care than 60-year-old early retirees. And with every passing year there are fewer 18-year-olds in our population earning paychecks, and more and more retired 60-year-olds living in the USA wanting to see doctors.

As the US population ages, greater numbers will be living with old aching joints and the amount spent on health care will rise greatly. With every passing year there are fewer young people in our population earning money and paying payroll taxes, and more and more old retired people expecting to receive money from the government.

"Government health care for all" is NOT a brand new federal ponzie scheme victimizing the young.
