From a national security perspective, this incident is not “no big deal” as seemingly portrayed by the U.S. Navy. Rather, it is very serious. It was no mistake. And will happen again…and again…until the Chinese are either successful or the U.S. and its allies change the Rules of Engagement with the PRC Navy.
