If there will be no draft, then why are they continuing Selective Service registration for males 18 to 25, and denying government funds like Pell Grants for college to anyone who refuses? Don't listen to what the government is saying; watch what it is doing.
The draft would be limited to young men who have registered with the Selective Service. Everyone of the right age is supposed to, but in truth only kids who want their Pell Grants actually do it. They'll say they are coming after everyone, but they won't very hard. Just pull in the kids who have registered, which will be only those who qualify for Pell Grants - poor to moderate middle class. It will miss the rich, since they don't qualify. Therefore, the rich will sit on the sidelines and say "you guys better go" and it will have political support, lest the government threaten to enforce Selective Service aggressively.
