If the handlers and candidates stopped micro-managing and just let things happen, political conventions might not be pretty, but they'd be a lot more entertaining.
Average citizens might even watch.
David Bright farms with his wife, Jean Hay Bright, in Dixmont. In 2004 he was one of two Democratic National Convention floor leaders for Dennis Kucinich. Kucinich will retire this year after serving the people of Cleveland in Congress for 16 years. He leaves because those Republicans and Democrats who don't like him finally figured out the only way to stop him from being re-elected was to gerrymander him out of his district.
