So? Why would Ms. Palin fire a man for falling in love with her long time friend? Could it be that she had her eye on him for herself? Was she jealous? I wonder. This was a man who had supported her political career. Whether or not Ms. Palin was romantically involved, or wanted to be, had nothing to do with her office. It was a personal issue and she abused her official power when she fired him. Senator McCain will be her next target.
Even people who consider Palin to be a friend are afraid of her, and with good reason. Palin is power hungry and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. As long as you are of use to her you are safe"-for a time. However, don't piss her off. You'll find yourself out of politics and in a bread line with the rest of us.
Just remember.
POWER CORUPTS! ABSOLUTE POWER CORUPTS ABSOLUTELY!
There has been a lot of talk about the book banning incident. Palin denies it ever took place but I don't' believe it. It doesn't take much imagination to see how easily it could have taken place with Palin wanting to show everyone what a good Christian she is, wanting to impress her church friends and the public. But, take a deeper look at this.
Palin said the books were offensive to her. Has she not heard of the Right to Free Speech? One book involved homosexuality. If you fit this category you would do well to avoid Palin. However, she had not read the book but was going on what her churchy friends had said. In fact, she had refused to read it saying "- she didn't need to read that stuff"-"-
Witnesses and contemporary news accounts say Ms. Palin asked the librarian about removing books from the shelves. The McCain-Palin presidential campaign says Ms. Palin never advocated censorship.
But in 1995, Ms. Palin, then a city councilwoman, told colleagues that she had noticed the book "Daddy's Roommate"- on the shelves and that it did not belong there, according to Ms. Chase and Mr. Stein. Ms. Chase read the book, which helps children understand homosexuality, and said it was inoffensive; she suggested that Ms. Palin read it.
"Sarah said she didn't need to read that stuff,"- Ms. Chase said. "It was disturbing that someone would be willing to remove a book from the library and she didn't even read it."-
"I'm still proud of Sarah,"- she added, "but she scares the bejeebers out of me."-
If Palin tried to do this in her small Alaskan town, firing the librarian for refusing to back down and cowtow to Palin, just imagine what she would do in the name of Christianity to the Nation's libraries. Everyone would be forced, perhaps at gun point or by threat of imprisonment, to fall in line with Palin's views of what is right or wrong. I was always under the impression that a Christian was not supposed to judge others. Obviously, Palin's church is not of that same ideology. They take matters in their own hands and demand that God do what they say. They have a new god, one named Palin. Scarry!
DOES THIS MEAN THAT OUR POLITICAL SYSTEM WILL BECOME ONE OF A THEOCRATIC RULE? ONE RULED BY THE WHIMS OF A RADICAL CHURCH?
