In the world today, North America and Europe are
like the Owner in the joke. The rest of the world is the Trespasser. We
Owners have laid claim to a huge portion of the world's resources to support
our consumption driven economy. We have assumed heretofore that our
possession of those resources is rightful and just.
But the trespassers also want the wealth and
prosperity we have acquired, and it will take about two and a half
planet earths to satisfy that want. So an increasing number of
Trespassers are going to want to fight us for the one planet we share.
At last count Trespassers outnumber Owners more than 6 to 1.
