How did America get so sidetracked and take that misguided direction that has brought us nothing of any real value or substance? America, had it invested its wealth in meaningful, substantative endeavors, could have created a nation and a society that would have been the envy of the world; one that would have earned the admiration and respect of the nations of the world. But it simply did not happen, our leaders pursued a completely different agenda and they give no sign of changing direction.
Does America have any choice in the need to reject war and reinvest in our domestic needs? No, it certainly does not and here is why. Take the current trend whereby the mass of our national wealth is channeled into wars and military domination and project it for the next 5 years. The result will be catastrophic for the vast majority of Americans. Â
So, here come the same old questions. Are the people of America going to continue to watch in silence as the foundations of this nation crumble all around them? What is it going to take for Americans to say, "Enough is enough, we're not going to take this anymore?" Is there anything conceivable that could motivate Americans to rise up and demand change?
Or will we just give up on what America might still become?
