While the sheer size of this country demands that our government must be of a large size also, every endeavor must be made to insure that it does not impede the rights and responsibilities of our citizens. Our government is charged by our Constitution with the protection of our citizens. While doing this the government must be very careful not to interfere with such rights as freedom of religion, speech, assembly, etc. and at the same time not allow these rights to interfere with the government. The government must always endeavor to be as neutral as possible no matter which parties have been elected. The DP will always strive to promote a "team" atmosphere amongst all elected parties in order to make the American experience truly a democratic one.
