Are coming forth
All pretensions to honor have flown
The bitterness of a hater and loser are bubbling up
The steady strength of youth and intelligence
Are threatening to replace
The worn and ragged remains of a dark past
In the form of a confident and strong black man
The paradigm of a narrow and shallow past is dying
And the paradigm of a new and hope-full world
Is struggling to be born
In the face of a mean resistance to change
The plot thickens
