Even if the assassination plot as recounted by Hunt is itself full of disinformation, as even most reasonably believe, "how can the CIA delay releasing operational or other records of those who have confessed or been so implicated in President Kennedy's murder?" asks Golovin. "'National Security?' No, 'National Security' rather requires genuine unraveling of the lies that 'Oswald acted alone' and 'Ruby acted alone;' Even reining in the CIA to its original, intelligence-only mandate and terminating its operational duties, as recommended a month after JFK's murder by the man who signed into law establishment of the CIA, President Harry Truman." Golovin notes, "Trying to make the world a better place by just killing all the right people obviously hasn't worked so well. The founders were wise to agree on the requirement in the U.S. Constitution that Congress, the peoples' collective representation - not just a president, or CIA - must declare war prior to unleashing acts of war, like assassinations and destructive interference in the internal affairs of other countries. We have moved far enough in the wrong direction since JFK's assassination; it's time to correct our direction."
On May 29th, Golovin plans release of a further updated video, addressing matters to include E. Howard Hunt's confession and President George H. W. Bush's association with the CIA before his appointment as the agency's director in 1976. Of note, FBI director J. Edgar Hoover took pains to carefully document that on November 23, 1963, "Mr. George Bush of the Central Intelligence Agency" received an assassination-related FBI briefing, the day after JFK's murder.
Golovin hosted on March 21st, during "Sunshine Week," (www.sunshineweek.org) showing of the critically acclaimed film, "JFK: A President Betrayed," (www.JFKaPresidentBetrayed.org) at the Goethe Institute in Washington D.C., followed by a draft video in production by Golovin and documentary film maker Bill Dumas (www.BillDumas.com), then discussion of the potential for "Constitutional Activism" in the context of the JFK assassination records issue.
Students of JFK's assassination are familiar with Mark Lane ( www.MarkLane.com ), author of related books including "Last Word and "Plausible Denial" (concerning the 1985 Miami trial involving E. Howard Hunt), also the book and documentary film, "Rush to Judgment," and "Two Men in Dallas," a film about the heroic story of Dallas police officer Roger Craig. A Facebook page exists (search: "Nominate Mark Lane") to encourage nomination of Mark Lane for 2014 Kennedy Center Honors in recognition of these films and his life's work for truth about JFK's murder.
On April 16, 2014, as this article was in revision and an updated video already prepared, appended with a call for donations to assist COPA ( www.politicalassassinations.com ) founder and director John Judge (who suffered a stroke in early March), it was learned that just yesterday John passed into the presence of God. With condolences to John's family, friends and all in the research community, John will be greatly missed, but his legacy of dedication and accomplishments in raising awareness and actively pursuing release of all JFK assassination-related records will endure. The page calling for contributions to aid John is still appended to the video, anticipating that any funds yet donated will benefit his estate, preserving his extensive research archives and continuing his work, that ALL the JFK assassination-related records shall be freed, and the truth known:
