On April 18th of this year, I published "7 New Expressionistic Paintings by OEN's Own Merlin Flower" here.

The article contained a link to an earlier article of mine linking to five previous OEN articles by Merlin here.   The five linked articles were written by Merlin and described her process of painting the featured work(s), and she answered questions from OEN members in comments on the articles.

Which is why I described Merlin as "OEN's Own" in my April 18 article.

Merlin's following fifteen works re-confirm both your and my appreciation for her art.   I will only add two personal reactions I have to Merlin's art: the first ten paintings demonstrate a fully developed facility for creating traditionally representative and modern abstract expressionist art most excellently, whereas the five works with faces demonstrate the artist's ability to express herself with childlike art with or on an abstract expressionist background or wash.   And still being comfortable with her childlike self while creating excellent traditional and abstract expressionist works is a sign of a very very talented human being.

All the works below were emailed to me personally, and Merlin has granted me permission to publish them at OpEdNews.   Merlin's comments are in italics, as are the words "no comment" if she did not comment on the painting.

Enjoy four more-or-less traditionally representative paintings by Merlin Flower:
