Sometimes as a journalist you are looking into a subject matter and strange truths seem to surface. In this case, while I was looking to title this article, the movie "Devils Advocate" with Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves was playing in the background, and in one scene Keanu Reeves asks Al Pacino (who plays the worlds most powerful lawyer and is the Devil) why he chose to be a lawyer. His answer was that "the Law put his hands into everything." By having his hands into everything, the Devil could get "acquittal after acquittal until the stench of it chokes heaven." The underlying meaning of that statement is key to the question asked in the title of this article.
If America looks out with unbiased eyes at the state of our union, one will see that the judicial branch of government has stepped beyond the scope of what the Founding Fathers envisioned as the balance of government. This is self evident by the courts making laws which by the words contained in the Constitution of the United States of America are not allowed. Our Founding Fathers did not allow the courts to make laws because if you make the laws, interpret the laws and enforce the laws, you control the government. As of August 2006, the United States of America is in the total control of the United States Courts.
If you want proof of that statement, look to Proposition 182 that was shot down by the courts even through the people of the United States had voted and passed that law.
How about the Emminent Domain ruling by the Supreme Court? I am sure that our Founding Fathers declared independence mainly because the people of the Thirteen Colonies were tired of the British kicking down doors and taking all that they had without proper payment. Somehow I do not envision the Founding Fathers supporting a decision to take your house from you for a shopping mall to be built under any circumstances.
What has made America so strong as such a great nation has been the morals and ethics of its people, and the strict adherence to the laws of the land. These morals, ethics and adherence to the law were written into the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. For over 100 years the laws that were added to supplement the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were done so in the sprit of what our Founding Fathers envisioned. Today, sad to say, most laws are written for an agenda, the top of that list being money.
Courts and the officers that run them (judges and lawyers) have perverted what should have been a branch of government where justice could be found by any American into a multi-billion dollar cash cow for those involved. Right and Wrong and Justice have been replaced by conviction at any cost and large monetary awards. What should have been a place that any American could go and seek justice has become a perverted place of fear. And this fear has been placed with malice by the courts into all factions of American society. But why?
The answer is very simple: power. The power to control a society, the power to make you see them as "gods", the power to manipulate the will of the people to do bad things when they think they are doing good, because of our fear of breaking the law.
How does this relate to Adolph Hitler?
Most people have the notion that Adolph Hitler just went crazy and murdered 9 million people (6 million of whom were Jews). If you can obtain an unedited version of true history or wish to research the web, you will be astonished to find that the Law in Germany led up to and in the end murdered 9 million people LEGALLY. We know this because the Germans where meticulous record keepers, even of the holocaust.
If we accept the fact that the Law is right and good, that those who carry out and obey the Law, just, then we must assume, at least for this reason, that the chance is that Adolph Hitler might be in heaven. I for one do not believe this because I also know for a fact that the written Law by man has nothing to do with right and wrong. The problem exists in that our society most Americans think that just because it is a Law, that we as a society should obey it.
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." (Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759)
These words have never rung so true as they do today. We have given up so many essential liberties to obtain the illusion of safety before and especially since 911 that I am sure the Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves.
The proof of this statement is that while we all understand the dangers that global terrorism presents, we are no safer now than we were on 911. Our borders are a joke, our ports unsecured and in even some cases attempts have been made to hand over the ports to foreign governments who have supported terrorism, and our courts are now prosecuting border guards for doing their jobs.
Our courts are at this very moment trying to get the city of Hazelton, PA to reverse the city laws, which the people of Hazelton approved, that enforce laws already on the books.
Over this nation is another court related story that even the main line media fears to tell the truth about. That is the story about 25,000 men in jail at a taxpayer cost of $1,368,750,000 dollars per year simply because their name ended up on a birth certificate when DNA shows that they are not the father of the child. The courts should just execute these men as it would be a better fait than rotting in jail.
...and any 5-4 decision effectively means one "supreme" controls the gov... example, Buckley v . valeo ("money is free speech") doctrine is what really controls our gov. Congress is controlled by this doctrine and the people have no National Initiative to overrule... Welcome to the Oligarchy.

Amendment 6 In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury.
I have always been informed in any criminal cases against me that my particular criminal prosecution was not included in all criminal prosecutions, and so trial by jury would not be granted.
Perhaps some of our lawyer friends would like to tell us why some criminal prosecutions are not included in all criminal prosecutions.

The joke on the Russian people was the hammer and sickle in their flag. It had nothing to do with factory and agriculture. As you now can see, the hammer is "law" and the sickle is "finance." You're a rare person if you haven't been "hammered" by the law, and cut down a bit by the "sickle" of finance.
There was a book published in 1996 titled "The Death of Common Sense" and subtitled "How Law Is Suffocating America." As you just demonstrated in your essay, it obviously didn't help. To bad the people outside the users of OpEdNews don't read anymore, we're all paying for it.
