Are you buying into the media hype that "democracy" actually exists in this country?
This BFC list was started by me & Wayne Kenton, when we worked for the "anti-war" candidate, Gen Wes Clark, back in 2003 & 2004.
I was in Winter Soldier Investigation, in 1971, with John Kerry, which led up to us tossing our medals 10 weeks later over the fence, on Capitol Hill.
I tried, unsuccessfully, to tell every "D" I could, about how much the HARD REICH of America really hated all of us VietNam Veterans Against the War who did Winter Soldier Investigation.
Matter of fact, Kerry quoted me 3 times in his 1971 book, The New Soldier, about war atrocities, racism, abuse of corpse, & a woman who was assassinated while she clutched my arm.
I KNEW HOW MUCH THE HARD REICH HATED KERRY. Yet, all the snot nosed 20 & 30-something Poly Sci majors running his campaign thought Kerry was peachy keen...
As did the entire Bucks "D" party.
Wayne & I froze our butts off, working for months in NH, for the near-populist Clark, who was the only credible anti-war candidate. Clark sat out Iowa, and when the Kerry folks rolled into Manchester, Keene, Concord, Nashua, Portsmouth, etc., and we saw hundreds of plush casino style busses, carrying thousands of well fed, well accommodated campaign workers, with all the $$$ needed to buy all the votes needed to win New Hampshire, we knew the end was near.
We moved to Delaware Hdqtrs, after N.H., but the writing was on the wall.
BIG MONEY BUYS BIG ORGANIZATION, & BIG MEDIA.
All the stuff that means ANYTHING was out the window. Eventually, I went over to the Kerry team, but I knew, all along, something like the "Swift Boat" attack team would eventually appear.
Then, when they DID come on the scene in August, the snot nosed advisors advised that Kerry ignore them... y'all know the rest.
Now, we have the Obama illusion. If you cruise some of the HARD REICH sites, you see the ground laying of the Obama-Osama crap, and the "Hussein is his middle name" bullshit, plus the Madrassa in Indonesia manure.
Much of Middle America will buy all this racist crap... you must have missed some of the BFC folks argue about how much they're scared about 9/11... Obama doesn't have a shot in the world, as scared shitless as most of America is.
And Huckabee? You think BIG MONEY is gonna let that loose cannon win the Nomination? You really DO believe in democracy in America.
