The name Kennedy is more powerful than Schlossberg. Clinton is more powerful than Rodham.
What happened to Schlossberg; he seems to have gone missing -- or at least his name has.
After 22 years of marriage and being known as Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, suddenly Schlossberg is nowhere to be heard.
Are the divorce rumors of Kennedy and Schlossberg true? I can’t get a straight answer from Google, or is the dropping of Caroline’s married name political expediency?
I vote for expediency, name recognition and the power of the Kennedy name.
That brings us to Rodham vs. Clinton.
Remember back in the day when Hillary Rodham Clinton fought like a tigress to be her own woman and wanted to be called Hillary Rodham?
No one bought into her own person-ness so she settled for Hillary Rodham Clinton. No hyphen needed.
That all changed when the New York senate seat loomed large, and she suddenly did an about face back to Hillary Clinton. Rodham be damned if not forgotten.
The power of the Clinton name was too powerful to resist.
‘Tis good to be a Clinton.
Clinton or Rodham, to many, Hillary’s name will always be Mud, which is spelled C-a-r-p-e-t-b-a-g-g-e-r.
With the reappearance of that same New York senate seat is the disappearance of Schlossberg.
Poor Edwin Schlossberg. It must be hell to have a funny sounding last name that carries no political weight or recognition, and to have to continually live under the looming, larger than life shadow of the Kennedy name.
It’s a good thing for Aaaaarnold that he was a weight lifter so he could bear the burden of being married to a Kennedy and not lose his identity or be suffocated by it.
If I vere mawwied up mit a Schlossberg or a Schwarzenegger, I vud my own name keepin‘, too, because nobody would know who Sandy Schlossberg or Sandy Schwarzenegger is.
