I am passing this story on as I found it because I want people as much as possible to FEEL what is going on in rural America.  They are living what liberals always fear will happen to them - police at the door, ransacking, no explanations, losing everything. But for rural people and farmers, it has been happening for some time and it is growing in frequency and force.

NAIS is fascist nightmare come true.  Yet liberals still barely know it exists or that it is under Homeland Security with regulations set to allow rapid deployment of special teams for warrantless raids based on ... "bioterrorism."  Corporations will be able in a pinch to manipulate a scare and use it wipe out all livestock the farmers own, without any due process or recourse.  They will repeat what they have been doing in Asia.

USDA weakened waste/contamination standards.  Waste from transnational poultry industry is now implicated as the source of bird flu.

The poultry industry then uses the crisis and fear it created to push out small farmers.

What is happening in rural America is the most serious thing happening in the country.  The government has gone nuts with its unseen freedom to crush NON-corporate farmers and has been doing so with impunity because the media isn't watching.  And even if it were, liberals don't yet understand, and are still buying into "food safety," though in the hands of the FDA and USDA, "food safety" morphs into lies told at will for the destructive benefit of corporations.

If you want a breathtakingly honest view of what the FDA is really about and to what degree they are willing to sell out the American public (whom we PAY to protect us), and how they change positions on a dime, and how they will say anything, no matter how nonsensical, to protect the corporations whic control them, look only at two things -

1.  melamine and their hiding the fact that 90% of OUR infant formula contains it and then setting a "safety" standard that permits it,

http://www.naturalnews.com/024947.html  and

2.  cherries, and the FDA threatening cherry growers if they so much as put a link on their website to the peer reviewed study showing they contain substances that are potentially 10 times stronger than aspirin and ibuprofen at controlling pain.

click here aspirin and the other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs NSAIDs cause thousands of deaths and upward of 80,000 hospitalizations a year.

http://www.drugwarfacts.org/causes.htm#item1

Nary a death by cherry or cherry pit.

But the Food and Drug Agency is fine with melamine for our infants and threatens cherry growers with prison for trying to inform people that they and their children can now handle pain without risking death.

Shall we all sing in unison .... "but there is no money for the drug companies in that"?
