Is a Rising Anger, Frustration and Distress Propelling America Toward a Societal Eruption?

Never have I seen the people of America in such a state of anger, frustration and feelings of hopelessness; one in which their contempt for this pathetic, deeply corrupted government is at such a high level. Only one question remains: How much longer will many millions of Americans continue to absorb this pain and suffering before some form of societal eruption occurs?

To think that this nation could never get to a point where its people have reached the final limits of their patience and erupt in some way is delusionary thinking because, as we know, every person has his or her breaking point. What that breaking point is for an entire society we don't know but, if conditions in America don't change for the better soon, we may find out.

A growing proportion of our society is experiencing great trauma during these times of turmoil and stress as people continue to lose their jobs and income, and their homes; when 50 million of them have been forced onto the poverty rolls, 45 million are dependent on food stamps and others, close to one in five Americans, are struggling mightily to survive in a nation that likes to refer to itself as the wealthiest in the world.

These stressed out Americans are now awaking to the fact that this government's primary focus and objectives lie with its plans to control key resource-rich regions of the world, that hundreds of billions of this nation's taxpayer dollars are being channeled into the war machine instead of being used to create jobs and revitalize our consumer-driven economy.

The incompetent leaders of this government need to realize that the last thing that they can afford to let happen is for extreme violence to erupt across this nation, with massive confrontations between police and American citizens; to see our cities explode with anger and have people take the law into their own hands. Perhaps they need to remember how this society erupted in opposition to the Vietnam War and during the days of the civil rights movement. Considering the dire conditions in America today, those days of civil unrest and disobedience would be nothing compared to what might happen in America during a massive societal eruption.

So, unless we see dramatic, positive changes in how this government deals with the myriad of problems this country faces, that terrible scenario may become a reality. We may be, at this very moment, witnessing the gathering ominous darkness that precedes a storm; one like no other we have ever seen in America.

Just think about how America's domestic conditions have deteriorated as a result of the collusion between this government and Corporate America. We no longer manufacture computers, televisions, cell phones and a host of the most popular electronic gadgets; our furniture, clothing, shoes, appliances and millions of autos are no longer "made in America." America has a tremendous capacity for production but our plants and our workforce both are becoming obsolete and rusting away. That didn't happen by accident but, rather, by a well designed corporate plan.
