In possibly the most exciting moments of American Democracy in action in 200 years, Congressman Dennis Kucinich introduced 35 Articles of Impeachment against President Bush in a nearly five-hour recitation into Congressional record on Monday night.
Congress has 72 hours to table it, send it to committee, pass it, or reject it.
In the Declaration of Independence, which was, in effect, articles of impeachment served against King George, Jefferson penned: "... and when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is (OUR) right, it is (OUR) duty, to throw off such Government ..."
Impeachment is a process by which we the people, as artisans of America, are granted the tools by which to carve out the stunning image of Democracy.

Impeachment is the sculptor’s hammer, which slowly but surely reveals the beauty of freedom and liberty, and releases them from their prison of stone.
Impeachment is the receptive hands of the midwife, assisting in the birth of a glorious, new America.
This is the time for all good Americans to come to the aid of their country!
- By contacting Congress members and the Speaker of the House to encourage them to support impeachment, by phone or email.
- By contacting the media via phone, letters to the editor, etc. to tell them we want coverage of these events.
- By encouraging the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee to support these Articles of Impeachment.

David Swanson, creator of ImpeachCheney.org, Washington Director of Democrats.com and co-founder of the AfterDowningStreet.org coalition, said: "Congressman Kucinich is the first, but we will be pressuring 434 other Representatives to join him. We must act to prevent an attack on Iran and to reestablish the rule of law for future administrations.
"Bush has had many accomplices, first and foremost, Vice President Cheney. But our Founders created a single executive precisely so that we could hold that one person accountable for the actions of the Executive Branch. It is high time we did so, and millions of Americans will be urging their representatives to support the effort being led by Congressman Kucinich.
Major American news media have apparently elected to ignore this stunning and historical event.
