"Hey, Sarah, Chill, Baby, Chill!"

"A Treasury of Sarah Palin Gaffes.."

by Charles L. Riccillo

Governor Palin, please chill out! You have just about exhausted the patience of a lot of folks!

The first straw was dropped when you said "Drill, baby, drill!"

But in statement after statement, you've gone on to add others to the American camel's back. Which is it, dear, "nuclear" or "nuke-ue-lar?" As to oil drilling, though, have you stopped to consider that the Exxon Valdiz incident was proof enough that drilling offshore is environmentally a great risk?

Every time I see you on the television, you make me want to rip off your trademark glasses and stomp them to bits! I promise, that if you ever wink at me in person, I'll gladly risk incarceration for the privilege of doing so!

Senator Obama has lived in and visited so very many places around the world.  But you say, "Hey, you know I can see Russia from an island in Alaska!" with a sense of amazement - as if that makes you a foreign policy expert. I'd hate to see you take on Vladimir Putin, because I'm sure he'd eat your for breakfast, and then promptly throw up!

We congratulate you upon your future grandchild, but a lot of teens frankly think that maybe your daughter should have had just a little more sex education!

Travis, a sixteen year old whom I'm kind of mentoring in music and singing says the following about you:

"Well I think my friend is so right. I am with him all the way, and I think you do need to chill out!! I also would hate to take you to Vladimir Putin for breakfast. Obama is the best I would say. I am sixteen and I want to live in the world safely, and not among hate all the time. I detest waking up to violent things in our newspaper every day. I thank you for reading my friend's oped article. He is works very hard to write these."

A quick look on-line reveals others have been perking up their ears to Palin's foot seemingly endlessly in her mouth. I suppose she's just gotten accustomed to the taste, and likes it!

By Frank James:

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin stumbled this weekend when she commented on the federal takeover of mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. click here Huffington Post "helpfully" pointed out her mistake to anyone who missed it the first time around.

Speaking before voters in Colorado Springs, the Republican vice presidential nominee claimed that lending giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had "gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers." The companies, as McClatchy reported, "aren't taxpayer funded but operate as private companies. The takeover may result in a taxpayer bailout during reorganization."

Economists and analysts pounced on the misstatement, saying it demonstrated a lack of understanding about one of the key economic issues likely to face the next administration.
