Uranus Square Pluto
This article series looks at the seven exact alignments occurring between the planets Uranus and Pluto from mid-2012 through early 2015.
The current set of alignments began in June 2012, when Uranus and Pluto moved into a difficult 90-degree angle called a square. This angle typically brings challenges (especially on the inner plane) that force change in areas represented by the planets and signs involved. This cycle began in 1965, when Uranus and Pluto came together in the same degree in Virgo; they came together twice more in 1966, bringing a transformative energy that made the 1960s "the Sixties." As of June 2012, these planets' movements through the zodiac have brought them into the first of seven exact squares that will occur through 2015. Astrologically, a square consists of two planets in a 90-degree angle, a relationship that tends to bring clashes and turmoil--as well as opportunities to raise awareness and make beneficial changes for the long term.
