Image uploaded from a quicklink (Image by Unknown Owner) Details DMCA | I notice that the Washington Post has adopted, at least for the moment, an advertising propaganda that is incompatible with what I believed to be the mission of the Washington Post. I am not so naive as to believe that what we see in the Washington Post about foreign countries and foreign policies is always true or even an effort at truth. But, I think at least the fiction of truth is what makes a newspaper attractive. Asserting that the Washington Post is "where International News and Foreign Policy Intersect" is necessarily an announcement that the truth will be adapted to fit foreign policy, since secretive and stealthy foreign policy plans certainly are not going to be published in the Washington Post. |
