| The Virginia Senate Committee on Privileges and Elections has scheduled a hearing on Tuesday January 24 that includes S. 424, and omnibus election bill introduced by Sen. Jeannemarie Devolites Davis (R-Vienna). A similar bill (HB 1243) has been introduced in the Virginia House of Delegates by Rep. Timothy Hugo (R-Fairfax) but has not been scheduled for a committee hearing yet. Virginia Verified Voting and New Electoral Reform Alliance of Virginia have joined with VoteTrustUSA in launching a citizens action in support of both bills. Virginia Verified Voting is organizing a constituent lobby day on January 24 as well. For more details visit www.VAVV.org. |
