Two pillars of the environmental movement--the former founder of American Rivers and long-time exec of Friends of the Earth, and the founder of Rainforest Action Network--weigh in on the Rio+20 Earth Summit in Brazil this week. In their view, it has the makings of a potential game changer. Saving our planet is not only essential -- it is absolutely doable. Their organization, Foundation Earth, reviewed more than a dozen scorecards that grade nations on major issues effecting sustainability. They found countries who are getting it right, and point out where Brazil, as host to the conference, is getting it wrong. |
