The "Religious Right" Ignores and Denies The Founding Fathers' Intent Regarding Religion

The Founding Fathers understood that a nation cannot have freedom of religion unless government is neutral regarding religion and shows no favoritism. They were 'Enlightenment' thinkers, well aware of how and why misguided Theocrats had caused the Dark Ages, the Crusades, the Inquisition and many centuries of military industrial imperialism and other efforts to rule the world in the name of religion. Now, because America is under the onslaught of Theocratic aggression and imposition again, it is time for Americans to realize the actual intent of the Founding Fathers regarding religion.
