What does America lose when its schools and universities teach only for the needs of our particular economic system and the economic entities operating within that system? Why should the student pay to be trained for the job the corporation needs filled? Does the horse pay to be trained to be ridden? Vocational training and business school are not the same as learning the once coveted education in the humanities, and their rise to prominence portends a society of intolerance and division, conflict and social disorder.
