If you aren't familiar with Temple Grandin, it may be time to do so. Labelled 'retarded' when younger, she is now called one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Overcoming, or learning to understand, her own autism, she has gone on to do amazing things, including redesigning over half of American feedlots, to make them more humane.
