Barbara Ehrenreich writes with historical perspective, even international insight (farmers in India who drank their crops' pesticide.) I think of the 30s. Once a kid of the depression, it behooves me to think of what some are going through now. As I heard John Edwards say on Moyers' program: they told me to say "middle class" not "poverty" ToHell I can't say Poverty!! |
