| The Syrian government's challenge to the opposition movement has been significant. The assaults on citizens have taken thousands of lives and the country seems fractures. Saudi Arabia is now part of the anti-Assad coalition while Iran supports the regime. It looks like the end for Assad, given the persistence of opposition despite the brutality of the regimes tactics. (N.B. Even though Syria is shooting at civilians, there is NO UN mandate for NATO military aggression.) Well written and concise summary, the type you won't find in corporate media. |
