This article claims that the OWS Movement is correct in one sense: 'As protests against financial power sweep the world this week, science may have confirmed the protesters' worst fears. An analysis of the relationships between 43,000 transnational corporations has identified a relatively small group of companies, mainly banks, with disproportionate power over the global economy.' But it goes on to claim that there is no 'conspiracy' involved and that this super-cluster of wealth is an organic, spontaneous development, which is too unwieldy to 'sustain collusion.' So, the article expects us to believe that rich people don't get together to talk about their interests? Yeah, right - that's the ticket. We're supposed to believe that this global hyper-concentration of wealth does not provide enormous, transnational political power, that it is itself a 'bottom-up' phenomenon.
