As the article points out, Jindal did the same with Eric Holder. The insensitivity and audacity is perhaps shocking, unless you're used to right-wing rhetoric. The underlying logic is that it is somehow freeing to allow vouchers to allow a select few students (mostly those who can afford it anyway). The article points to homophobic prejudice. Religious schools are also free to reject kids based on disability & religion. |
