The site of the local farmers market seemed an unlikely place for protesting the wrongdoings of big business. "I don't know if I can handle the irony," I remember saying to a friend. Isn't this the spot where local craftspeople and farmers who don't put bat-sh#%-crazy chemicals in our food sell their wares? But Pioneer Park, the site of Salt Lake's Occupy Wall Street demonstration, is a central spot. People camping there will be seen, and better yet, it's a five-minute run from the three local coffee joints that have agreed to supply the OWS folks with unlimited java, 24/7. |
