| Until the first UK Prime Ministerial debates, Nick Clegg was just another Liberal Democrat leader who had no chance of becoming PM. In the debates he eschewed ties with the US and it worldwide aggressive foreign policy and sounded like a real Progressive. Now he is leading Labor and the Conservative candidates in the upcoming election. In this country, he would never have been allowed to debate and would have remained obscure. |
