A US military tribunal has sentenced former Guantanamo child detainee Omar Khadr to 40 years imprisonment, although he will only serve up to eight years behind bars under a plea deal. A seven-member military panel handed down their decision on Sunday after nearly nine hours of deliberation over a two-day period.
