Congress is completely dysfunctional. It is letting three northeast states, including one with a Republican Governor, go under, from Hurricane Sandy's $60B impact - slightly less than what was allocated for Hurricane Katrina in half the time. The Congress is run by vicious thugs and incompetents, who will take down the country to support their bankrupt ideology, and if it means a few points against the president who was elected by a mandate of 5 million votes (when all are counted). 'Two weeks after Hurricane Katrina blew through the Gulf Coast in 2005, Congress approved more than $62'-billion in federal aid. One month after Hurricanes Ike and Gustav in 2008, Congress approved more than $20'-billion in aid for storms that wrought $35'-billion in damage. This marks the seventh week since Sandy made landfall. And Congress has yet to act.' |
